In this over simplified representation of how the hackers gained access to PSN it's comforting to know that all of this trouble could be summed up in one slide.

The only comfort in all of this is Sony has stated how it will "make it up" to it's users:

All existing PlayStation Network customers will be provided with 30 days free membership in the PlayStation Plus premium service.
Current members of PlayStation Plus will receive 30 days free service.
Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity subscribers (in countries where the service is available) will receive 30 days free service.

So there you have it. A month free. Don't you feel better?
