MORTAL KOMBAT BACK?

So what the heck just happened yesterday???? First we are making plans to pick up our new iPhone 4′s or sprint EVO’s and BAM!!!!!! the internet strikes again out of nowhere.

Well we were treated to a nice surprise of a video made by a director (who remains anonymous for right now).  The video starred deep space nine actress Jeri Ryan who played Sonya Blade in the 7 minute video pitch to Warner Bros.  We also say SPAWN actor Michael Jai White as Jason Briggs.  “Okay, so… Mortal Kombat. It’s not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a re-imagined MK film,” Ryan said on her Twitter account, explaining the footage that recently found its way to the web.”I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB’s reaction to it was.”

Mortal Kombat has been in some legal issues but with the popularity of this short film might just make WB pull the trigger to get MK back up and running.  WB also bought MIDWAY games who owned the rights to MK, so you can now see the bigger picture here.
